Adding interactive virtual tours/3D models to property listings
There are a number of providers offering virtual tours/3D modelling but the one that stands out for us is Matterport. They have been around for a while now and just get better. Matterport is an amazing tool for estate agents who want to stand out from their competitors as it certainly wows their clients. It makes capturing, creating, and distributing beautiful, interactive 3D models of a property easy and affordable for agents. And it is not just for high end properties. Many agents now use it for rental properties with some using it for tenancy inspections claiming their clients absolutely love it.
There are other providers that offer similar services like EyeSpy360 Virtual Tour Creator which is a low cost alternative to Matterport. Unlike Matterport, these (at the time of writing) cannot be embedded and instead require a link to the virtual tour video. Here is what EyeSpy says about this on their website:
"Once the virtual tour is published, you and your clients are able to view it across any platform, via a browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox, whether you're using Mobile, Tablet, Desktop or Google Cardboard VR Headset. The VR button however, will only work using direct URLs, and will not work when you use an iFrame embed code, due to security issues with browsers. Therefore, we suggest creating a separate link, i.e 'View 360 Virtual Tour', using the URL provided during publish. You are also able to share the 360 tour on your Facebook and Twitter pages from within the publishing window."
WiggyWam is compatible with Matterport 3D interactive videos
Adding Matterport videos is easy on WiggyWam - simply paste the embed code (provided by Matterport after you have uploaded your files) into your CRM provider's Video field and when the property is uploaded the Matterport 3D video will be included. Users will be able to interact with the 3D model, zoom out to see all the rooms, walk through each room and more.
If your CRM provider doesn't have a video field then you can still add your Matterport videos directly within WiggyWam by editing your property listing online. Just login as your branch admin, find the property and go to the video section and paste your code.
A typical Matterport embed code looks like this:
<iframe width="853" height="480" src="/https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=xxxxxxxxxxx" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen allow="vr"></iframe>

If you want to gain more exposure for the property you can add include it in our video library which, like the property listing can be shared across your social media channels. Users can comment, like and share your content (you receive instant notifications) which is another great way to promote your agency. See our demo agent 'JohnDoe's' video on the WiggyWam library here.

Really love this article!...it's a glimpse of the future for the property market. There are some amazing companies out there thinking creatively about bringing new products to an industry crying out for change!
There are loads of quality products allowing agents to showcase all properties (not just fancy mansions) that will transform how we buy and sell our properties. AI, 3 D modelling, use of drones for aerial shots, etc are just some of the exciting tools at agents disposal to stand out from the crowd. Keep innovating guys!
We have been looking at this for our branch and torn between whether we get a staff member trained up or use a photography firm who provide it as a service. At the end of the day it will come down to price and the most efficient and cost effective method for us. Is there a way to get these done without having to enter vendor premises? That would certainly drive up usage and be of interest to us.
