Rocking the Status Quo in Estate Agency

status-quo
Since the mid-90s, property portals haven't changed much. They're still using old tick-box tech to match properties. It's like a system in unstable equilibrium—one small push could change everything. Many agents and service providers depend on these portals staying the same, and new ideas are often met with disbelief. But being stuck in old ways is just asking for change.

I've been innovating for years. The tech hasn't always caught on, not just because of timing, but also because of the heavy reliance on existing portals. Finding the first adopters is hard. Richard Powell was an open-minded visionary, always willing to explore new ideas. He kept the good ones and discarded the bad ones after trying them first. I'm looking for early adopters, visionaries, and agents with an open mind who are ready to take advantage of new opportunities.

Yesterday, I was chatting with an old member of staff who reminisced about the early days when our product first shaped the property industry. Even 15 years later, he still gets a buzz from the excitement we created back then. He said it was more fun than work. I told him I'm fairly certain what I've done now is even more compelling and exciting. I'm truly excited about it.

Now, I've finally cracked an issue that's been bugging me since 1994, unlocking features no one else has tried. This isn't just about what's possible; it's about shaking up an industry that hasn't moved forward in over 15 years. The exciting part is, I don't need to change things very much to have a BIG impact on the way agencies operate.

As agents, we know that building trust and confidence with clients is key. It starts from the first interaction and can lead to business weeks, months, or even years later. Being sincere and honest, even when the news isn't great, builds trust in our expertise.

I'm excited about what's ahead, not just because it's possible, but because these small changes can have a big impact on the way we do things. It's time to embrace innovation and rethink how we reconnect with our clients and run our businesses.
